There are some key differences between counseling and coaching that are important for you to understand prior to deciding which service you’d like to engage with. You will not at any time be engaging in both services at the same time, however, depending on the circumstances, you may switch services.
Some topics that you would address in coaching services may also be applicable in therapy, however, there are many topics and concerns that would only be appropriate in a psychotherapy context and unethical in a coaching setting. If these come up at any time during the consultation or coaching appointments then a referral to a mental health professional will be recommended.
